04.07.2012 Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter (Trailer)

Should probably read the book before I really say anything about the trailer... The operative word here is "should," because I'm going to say something about this trailer now. I can't help but get the feeling that Abraham Lincoln probably saw this trailer and rolled over in his grave (or he's a vampire zombie and has no grave in which to roll over).

This video never gets old to me. It's as simple as the fact that I have no idea why there's a bear mascot but know that there need not be a reason for it to be funny. As a general rule, I don't like mascots. However, in the context of this video, I can tolerate that bear mascot.

04.05.2012 The Life of Pretty People

Source: Daily Mail UK

This is Samantha Brick. Samantha Brick lives in the UK. Samantha Brick wrote an article for "Daily Mail," which I believe to be well-explained by the title of the article. "'There are downsides to looking this pretty': Why women hate me for being beautiful." Make your own judgments.

04.04.2012 Wisconsin Sports Segues

"The Packers don’t want your fancy-schmancy uniforms" (Yahoo)
Congratulations on the NFL jersey contract, Nike. Too bad the Packers don't need your help to be awesome. They have covered, thank you very much.

"Aaron Rodgers’ Brewers Commercial" (Total Packers)
While I really enjoy this commercial for the Milwaukee Brewers (visit the link above to see the video), I'd like to be clear here. Not even Aaron Rodgers could make me enjoy baseball.

"Here She Is...Miss America (Now Cheer For Her)" (Wisconsin Sports Tap)
Miss America Laura Kaeppeler (formerly Miss Wisconsin) will be throwing out the first pitch at opening day for the Milwaukee Brewers. But she's a Chicago Cubs fan. How did the state of Wisconsin allow her to win the Miss Wisconsin crown in the first place?

04.03.2012 Gary from "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

You know those "Where Are They Now?" specials on television and in magazines? Yeah, those specials. The ones where you see your favorite stars from way back in the day and how they've turned out? The specials where you find yourself saying, "Wow, the years have not been kind to them," before you return to your day feeling a strange sense of satisfaction because the people you once idolized are not much better off than you are? I found one where 90% of the pictures made me think that.

Then, there was Gary. Nice work, Gary. I'm proud of you, but not proud enough to look up your real name. So let's just stick with Gary.

04.02.2012 WestJet April Fools'

I wanted to wait to decide which brand had my favorite April Fools' Day joke, and yesterday's clear winner was WestJet in Canada.  Is it bad that I was actually pretty accepting of their "child-free cabin" flights before I found out it was all just a joke at the expense of gullible YouTube viewers and Canadian aviation enthusiasts?

"That's 'kargo' and 'kids' with a K."

04.01.2012 ACM Awards

It's a wonder that there's more than one awards show for country music, yet they all claim to be "country music's biggest night." Nice try, country music.
